Weight loss: Why I didn't undergo surgery — Teni

Nigerian artiste Teniola Apata popular as Teni has revealed why she did not undergo surgery to reduce her body size.

In a recent episode of Zero Condition Podcast, the singer clarified rumours about her weight loss journey after many assumed she went under the knife to reduce her body size.

Reacting to a question on the motivation behind her album titled 'Tears of the Sun' Teni revealed that her album as well as her weight loss were motivated by her recent sickness and not surgery as many believed.

The 'Uyo Meyo' crooner further disclosed that she would not be comfortable undergoing surgery for fear of things going wrong.

Supporting her claims, Teni who commended those who dared to go under the knife said she wouldn't have her current stomach size if she underwent surgery.

The songwriter, however, revealed that she went through a lot since she had to hit the gym and go on a diet due to her sickness.

She said: “Dieting is not easy. You’ll experience mood swings. Sometimes, my manager will greet me, but I will not be in the mood. I was so pissed that I could not eat what others were eating.

“I went through a lot, some people even said I underwent surgery. If I had gone for surgery, would I still have this stomach size?"

“I wish I weren’t scared; I would have gone to Turkey to have surgery done. Then I will return to Nigeria with figure 8 on both sides of my waist," she added.

AllNews Nigerian recalls that Teni announced losing 75 pounds without surgery after many claimed she went under the knife to achieve her new body size.
