West Ham, Brighton share spoils as clash ends in stalemate

West Ham United and Brighton & Hove Albion shared the spoils in a Premier League contest as both sides ended the 90-minute goalless.

The two sides showed that they wanted the win but it was not to be as the deadlock could not be broken after the entire duration of the match.

There were chances but the goalkeepers of both sides Alphonse Areola (West Ham United) and Jason Steele (Brighton & Hove Albion) were at their best to keep a clean sheet in the contest.

West Ham United duo of Jarron Bowen and James Ward-Prowse could have opened the scoring but it wasn't to be and veteran midfielder James Milner should have opened the scoring but Alphonse Areola saved it in goal.

The best chance of the match fell to Brighton's Joao Pedro who brilliantly went on a solo run into the box but fired straight at the goalkeeper.

Ultimately, it finished 0-0 at the end of the match with David Moyes's West Ham United playing at home.
