West Ham Yet To Accept Arsenal's £105 Million Offer For Dec

West Ham United has yet to immediately accept Arsenal's astonishing £105 million formal offer for star midfielder Declan Rice.

The Gunners, determined to secure their top target, submitted a third bid consisting of £100 million in guaranteed cash and an additional £5 million in bonuses.

However, sources close to the negotiations have revealed that talks are still ongoing, primarily centred around the deal's structure.

Earlier this month, Mail Sport disclosed that West Ham preferred to receive the guaranteed portion of the fee by the beginning of 2025, preferably in two separate instalments.

Conversely, Arsenal is pushing for the payment to be spread over a five-year period.

The clubs will continue discussions on Wednesday morning in an effort to find a middle ground that satisfies both parties.

Arsenal's offer surpasses West Ham's initial valuation of £100 million for the highly coveted English midfielder.

The Gunners, eager to secure Rice's services, are keen to reach an agreement swiftly.

Meanwhile, news of Arsenal's substantial bid emerges following Manchester City's unsuccessful first offer for the West Ham captain.

City's proposal consisted of £80 million in guaranteed cash, with an additional £10 million in potential add-ons, but was formally rejected by West Ham on Tuesday.

As Arsenal moves closer to finalizing a deal with West Ham after having their previous two offers turned down, Manchester City may attempt to outbid their London rivals by submitting an improved offer of their own for Rice.

Although Manchester United has also shown interest in the talented midfielder, they are perceived as outsiders in the race for his signature.

United, if they were to pursue the deal, would prefer to include fringe players as part of the negotiation. West Ham manager David Moyes is said to be interested in securing the services of Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay as potential makeweights in the transfer.

However, it remains to be seen if such a player exchange will be a viable option for the Hammers.
