What Are We Celebrating? Yul Edochie Asks As Nigeria Marks 6

As Nigeria marks her independence on October 1st, Nollywood actor cum politician, Yul Edochie has questioned what Nigerians are celebrating.

In a tweet on his official Twitter page, Edochie highlighted the current situation of the country while noting that "Nigerians are suffering"

According to the actor, his refusal to wish people a happy independence day celebration is because many are not happy.

He wrote “I cannot wish anyone a happy independence when my people are not happy.

“What are we celebrating? Fuel price increase? Electricity tariff hike? Hardship? Bad roads? Killings everywhere? Jobless youths turned beggars?

“The list is endless. Speak the truth, Nigerians are suffering.”
