What I will do after winning Grammy Award — Ayra Star

Nigerian Afrobeat sensation, Oyinkansola Aderibigbe, popular as Ayra Starr, has revealed what she will do after she wins her first Grammy award.

AllNews Nigeria recalls that Ayra Starr alongside  Asake, Olamide, Davido, and Burna Boy, was nominated in the debut Grammy category; 'Best African Music Performance' to recognise African artistes.

The 66th Grammy Awards is set to take place on February 4, 2024.

Speaking during an interview with Cool FM, hosted by the OAP, Do2dtun, the 'Rush' crooner, noted that the first thing she would do after she wins the award would be to go to her favourite Chinese restaurant and eat.

The budding singer who described herself as a foodie added that she would video call her mother after eating.

Ayra Starr said: "There is this Chinese restaurant I like to go to. I'm just going to go there, sit done well, breathe in and out and eat. Then I will video call my mum."

Responding to whether or not she has practised acceptance speech, she said: "I have my speech, I have everything done already."

The singer, however, acknowledged the unpredictable nature of the award, noting if she doesn't win this year, she has her speech and outfit for next year.

"If I don't win, it's next year. I already have the speech for next year. I already have my outfit for next year. "
