Aviation Minister in the First Republic, Mbazulike Amaechi, says that if the two major political parties in the country produce a candidate from the Northern region, "it will affect our continued existence as a nation".
He said that the emergence of another Northerner in the 2023 election will lead to a "more serious case".
He posited that for peace to reign in the country, the hands in which the presidential power rests must be varied, and not rest consecutively in the hands of the North.

He said that if both the major parties produce a Northern candidate, they would create a situation that would "explode".
He advised that when the situation explodes, the only people that will be blamed are those "who have created the situation".
