WhatsApp To Roll Out Sharable Call Link Feature

WhatsApp To Roll Out Sharable Call Link Feature

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg on Monday announced that WhatsApp will receive a new feature to enable users to invite someone to join a call only with a single tap on a shared link.

To use Call Links, users must have WhatsApp's most recent version.

Customers can choose the Call Links option from the app's Calls tab.

Then, they can create a link for a voice or video call and send it to loved ones.

It's a useful function that Apple has already incorporated.

The company started providing shareable FaceTime links last year so that anyone could join calls from Windows PCs and Android devices.

But it doesn't appear like scheduling a WhatsApp call with a link is possible.

What transpires when a user who does not have a WhatsApp account clicks the link is also unclear.

Additionally, according to Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, WhatsApp has begun testing encrypted group video conversations for up to 32 people.
