Why Imam Offa Must Be Arrested By Nigerian Police — Saheed Shittu (Video)

It's Thursday and AllNews travels back in time to January 2021, when controversial Islamic preacher, Saheed Shittu asserted that Sheikh Muhyideen Salman Husayn, the Chief Imam of Offa in Kwara State should be arrested "for enjoining evil".

Shittu in a broadcast on Save Your Soul TV on January 27, 2021, accused Imam Muhyideen Salman of sinister remarks.

"The Nigerian police must arrest Imam Offa, for saying one cannot get rich without partaking in evil," Shittu said in Yoruba language.

"He is initiating people to engage in evil.

"He said if you do not engage in evil, you cannot achieve good things.

"He said if you don't do evil, you cannot own a house, you cannot marry a wife, etc.

"Someone that asked you to turn your back against God, the implication is that you can partake in robbery, and engage in all things that God is not pleased with."

Shittu, a Sunni Muslim, has repeatedly 'denigrated' some traditional rulers and many Islamic scholars in Nigeria like Sheik Adam Abdullah Al-Ilory, Shaykh Mohammad Robiu Adebayo, and Sheykh Sulaiman Faruq Onikijipa, describing them as "hypocrites and liars".

Via Save Your Soul TV, Shittu has posed a thorn in the flesh of clerics of Ilorin descent.

He is believed to be based in the UK, but travels to Nigeria once in a while.
