Nigeria could be having a new manager takeover the helm of the Super Eagles as manager aftermath of the recently concluded African showpiece on the Continent.

Jose Peseiro has had his dealing with the Super Eagle reaching the final of the AFCON 2023 in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.

However, Nigeria National team should make a move to get a new coach that can take the team to a new level.

But an the NFF or the sports minister make a good decision on this issue as Allnews.ng take a look at why an indigenous coach would be perfect fit for the three time African Champions.

There genuine passionate for the National team

The indigenous coaches are very passionate about the team since they are full blooded part of the Nigerian community.

They are always in love with the Super Eagles at all times and their passion will see they handle the team with utmost care.

They can defy the odds for instance taking a pay cut to coach the National team as we’ve seen over the years.

And at times they can even give their best of the salary is very regular or not.

Understand the Nigerian System

A local coach and a credible one for that matter would be ideal for the National team as they really understand the shape of the Nigerian game.

The knowledge they have about the team and football culture is an edge for them alone.

Whereas they know the players sometimes on one-on-one basis since most of these players have passed through them at some point in the age grade competitions.

This should be a reason why we must revert to local coach to manage our National team in essence.

Live a long lasting legacy

The local coaches have earned their respect mostly as players of the National team especially in the past days.

The likes of late Stephen Keshi, Sunday Oliseh and Samson Siasia have had an exemplary time playing with the Super Eagles.

They have earned legendary onus playing for the Super Eagles and wouldn’t want to lose their respect within the Nigerian football sphere.

If they get the dance to manage the team, they would want to succeed all thing been equal (adequate support from the NFF and arrangement of well international friendly matches) for them.

They would be eager to make a names for themselves on the Super Eagles job as proof of their own legacy as a Nigerian.
