The Oluwo of Iwo in Osun state, Oba Abdulrasheed Adewale Akanbi, says he surrenders his body to coronavirus pandemic, Allnews reports.
Oba Akanbi said this in a footage that surfaced online.
The controversial monarch prayed God inflicts the disease on him, so he can free the rest of the world.
“I’m not king, God is King. You created everything. I surrender my body to the disease, let it abide in me and free the rest of the world” he said.
Meanwhile, the Federal Government has disclosed that it does not know how long it would take for the nation to overcome the coronavirus pandemic.
This was disclosed in a joint press briefing by the Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire, and the Secretary to the Government of Federation, Boss Mustapha.
On Sunday, the president ordered a lockdown in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Lagos, and Ogun States, as a measure to curtail the spread of the virus in the country.
