Dave Ogbeni
Nigerian actor Dave Ogbeni has caused a stir on social media with his recent comments about Nollywood actresses.
In a post on his Instagram page, the actor called for a clear distinction between Nollywood actresses and Nollywood prostitutes.
Ogben also claimed that not every woman who enters the film industry does so for the love of the craft.
According to him, a lot of women become actresses because of the indirect cash they can get from prostitution.
“There should be a clear-cut demarcation between Nollywood actresses and Nollywood prostitutes.
“No be every girl come for the craft, many came for the (indirect) cash,” he wrote.
He stated in his caption that he is tired of listening to his political associates make references to his female coworkers.
“Just so you know. I’m tired of my politician friends calling my female colleagues names. I’m tired.”
