Why Sophia Momodu Wants To Change Imade’s Last Name

Sophia Momodu, Davido’s first baby mama, has expressed her intention to change their daughter Imade Adeleke’s last name to her own.

Sophia stated that she plays the roles of both mother and father in Imade’s life, hence her decision to give her daughter her last name, Momodu.

She shared this sentiment on Snapchat, saying, “Can’t wait to change her last name.

"I still think Momodu is lit as I’m mom and dad,” Momodu shared on Snapchat.

When some fans cautioned her that her posts could be misinterpreted by blogs and lead to criticism, Momodu remained resolute and stated that she has not even started yet.

She further added, “Lol our elders say the truth is bitter, I haven’t even started yet.”

Additionally, Momodu expressed her belief that educated and intelligent Nigerians would not speak negatively about a woman who has taken on the active role of both mother and father.

She challenged anyone who disagrees with her to set up a GoFundMe campaign if they are genuinely upset.
