'Wike Lule': Watch Moment Arise TV Chairman Tambuwal Others

Nduka Obaigbena, the founder of THISDAY, and Arise TV alongside Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) heavyweights Aminu Tambuwal and Dino Melaye were filmed mocking the governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike.

In the now-viral video, the Arise TV boss made fun of Wike while hosting some guests who attended his mother’s funeral on Saturday in Owa-Oyibu, Delta State.

Shina Peters, an Afrojuju singer, handed over the microphone to Obaigbena midway through his performance at the party on Saturday.

On getting the microphone, the media mogul was heard singing "Wike lule" in the now-viral video as he praised Tambuwal, the governor of Sokoto, whom he refers to as the nation's "future president."

“Chairman of PDP governors forum, Tambuwal! Presidential candidate, Tambuwal! Wike ‘lule’, Tambuwal! Wike ‘lule’, Tambuwal! Wike ‘lule’, Tambuwal! Future president, Tambuwal!,” Obaigbena joked.

“Lule” is Yoruba word which means “fell flat”.

The word became popular after Bola Tinubu, presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), lashed at party members over plots to deprive him of the party’s ticket.
