Wizkid Chastised For Paying Rihanna To Promote His Song

Wizkid caused an uproar on Twitter when a Twitter user accused him of bribing Rihanna to promote his single 'Essence'.

Sandra, a Twitter user, said that Wizkid and his crew paid Rihanna to promote the song. Kylie Jenner, Lewis Hamilton, and Kevin Hart, all big Rihanna fans, got the essence fever and reposted it on social media.

She said: "Kylie Jenner, Lewis Hamilton, and Kevin Hart, are Rihanna's big-time fans. The moment she posted the paid promo video, the big-name started to vibe to it. That's how it works, nobody knows you until a big name gives you a shout out and mind you, Essence starts to get noticed after the video."

Wizkid received his Grammy plaque over the weekend which caused his fans to drag Seun Kuti over his statement saying “There are only 4 musicians in Nigeria whose music has been nominated for Grammy. If that annoys you it’s not my fault. Album no be music video. Your favorite will also one day by the ancestor grace make music that will be recognized. I am dedicating today to you children."

In reaction to his posts, Wizkid gave him a subtly sarcastic reply. 

“No mind dem jare. Get the sax and make some music brother..We all enjoyed ur last album we still dey dance like this". He wrote.

Rihanna is a Grammy winner turned sportswear designer turned cosmetics entrepreneur who revolutionized the stale, pale face of the beauty industry with her hyper-inclusive brand of make-up.
