Wizkid To Drop New Album, 'More Love Less Ego', Soon [Video]

Afrobeats maestro Wizkid has asked his fans to anticipate his coming studio album 'More Love Less Ego' as it will be out very soon.

The singer made the announcement on his Instagram story on Wednesday.

Sharing a photo of himself the singer wrote: "More Love Less Ego. A love letter from Lagos. Sooooooooon come!!!"

It is needless to advise Wizkid's fans not to take their fave seriously as he is known for not keeping to time.

When he announced the studio album in October 2021, the 31-year-old father of three promised not to make fans wait too long and set the release date for the album on the last day of his tour which is January 22, 2022.

However, in an interview in 2021, the 'Ojuelegba' crooner said he really hates when people can predict his move. According to him, he does not like giving dates because he may sometimes be late.

“I don’t like to give dates because sometimes I may be late. But I really hate when people can predict me. Why should people know I am dropping an album tomorrow? Why can’t people just wake up and discover that I dropped my album last week or yesterday? I just love to drop it when people are less expectant.”

In another news, Wizkid has canceled his Canadian tour due to Covid-19 precaution put in place by the Canadian government.

The tour was scheduled for January 2022 but has now been postponed with no new date in sight.

An announcement on his social media page on Wednesday read: "Due to existing and developing public health restriction measures being introduced by the Canadian government, I will no longer be able to perform my Canadian shows in January. I'm looking forward to returning as soon as possible."

Wizkid announced the dates for his Made in Lagos tour of North American countries — the United States and Canada — back in July 2021.
