A housewife simply identified as Mummy has died in Nasarawa State following alleged domestic violence by her husband, John Umaru.
The incident occurred in Yarkade, a community in the Keffi Local Government Area of the state.
Umaru popularly known as Kurungu was said to have beaten his wife to a stupor on Saturday, April 30.
“Following the incident, she was rushed to the hospital where she died Sunday,” a source confirmed.
The source further added that the 32-year-old husband is well-known in the community for domestic violence and wife battery.
The deceased until her death had borne him three (3) children; two girls and a boy. She hails from Takalafia, a neighboring community.
Her remains have been deposited at the mortuary of the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Keffi. The husband is a graduate of the state-owned College of Education (COE), Akwanga.
