Workers’ Day: APC Urges Ondo Workers To Sustain Industrial Peace In The State

Workers’ Day: APC Urges Ondo Workers To Sustain Industrial

The Ondo State chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) has urged the state workers to sustain existing industrial harmony between the APC-led administration and trade unions.

This is contained in a Workers Day statement signed by Ade Adetimehin, the state APC Chairman on Friday in Akure.

Adetimehin described industrial peace as a panacea for economic and infrastructure development in the state.

He commended the understanding and attitude of union leaders, and the entire workforce, even at some critical moments.

“We rejoice with the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), the Trade Union Congress (TUC), and all their members, particularly in Ondo State, as we celebrate this year’s International Workers’ Day celebration.

“The party is not oblivious of the high expectations from different spectrums of the stakeholders, including workers, but confident that the highly compatible team currently saddled with our state affairs would live up to its billing.

“We are all aware that Nigeria is passing through a novel phase in its development. This demands greater understanding and cooperation of all to weather the unpleasant storm,” Adetimehin said.

According to him, the APC-led government believes in the welfare of the people, and will always prioritize the wellbeing of every resident of the Sunshine State, with much emphasis on the engine room of government.

He prayed that subsequent celebrations of the day would be under better condition.

“Once again, as we celebrate with our productive workforce and the government of Ondo State on this occasion of workers’ anniversary, we believe that the next celebration would take place under a better atmosphere, in all ramifications,” he said.
