WWE: Daniel Bryan Signs Contract With AEW

WWE's Daniel Bryan has reportedly signed a contract with rival company AEW (All Elite Wrestling) and is set to join the brand.

The news of Bryan's exit was revealed by Bodyslam's Cassidy Haynes who says the wrestling superstar is "locked-in" to begin his journey in AEW.

Haynes said, "In addition, I was told that Danielson was wanting to work less dates for comparable money, he wanted the ability to be able to work in Japan, and wanted to have creative input on his character, which he got.

"There are also tentative plans already in place for Danielson’s AEW debut.”

40-year-old Daniel Bryan was last seen performing in the WWE on April 30, 2021, on SmackDown. He was compelled to retire in 2016 due to medical issues but returned two years later after getting the all-clear.

He is a five-time world champion, two-time tag title holder as well as enjoying stints, holding both the US and Intercontinental belts.

Bryan is married to former WWE performer, Brie Bella, and together they have two children.
