WWE's Paul Levesque, better known as Triple H, is recovering following a cardiac arrest he suffered recently.
Wales Online reports that the news was confirmed by WWE, with a statement disclosing that he underwent a procedure that was successful.
"Paul Levesque, a.k.a. Triple H, underwent a successful procedure last week at Yale New Haven Hospital following a cardiac event.
"The episode was caused by a genetic heart issue and Paul is expected to make a full recovery", the statement reads.
Following the news, messages of support have been sent to Triple H, including from retired wrestler and Hall of Famer Ric Flair and Mick Foley.
52-year-old Triple H is one of WWE's most famous faces. He became famous in the wrestling circuit when he co-founded the D-Generation X group in the 1990s.
He has won several championships in his career and is a two-time Royal Rumble winner. His marriage to Stephanie McMahon has made him a substantial media figure.
