Y’ello Star: MTN Announces Another Music Reality Show

Telecommunication giant, MTN, on Sunday announced that it is ready to kick off a new musical reality television show, titled ‘Y’ello Star.

MTN plans to unveil ‘Y’ello Star’ two years after the former Project Fame reality show was paused.

The show is a platform to grow talented musical acts into a world of fame.

MTN has trained a large number of people since the very day it started operation in Nigeria, and through the Y’ello Star reality show, many young talents will have a platform to showcase their talents.

“We know that there are a lot of talented people in Nigeria who need to turn up their musical careers,” Rahul De, Chief Marketing Officer, MTN Nigeria said.

“This platform will help launch them to musical heights. We have a wealth of experience in supporting Nigerian talent and are confident we can improve on our past successes.”

However, the show will not do not have a physical audition as all applicants should register to the Y’ello Star by only recording themselves.

All record should be sent to the organisers through MyMTN app, social media or the MTN Nigeria website from where a team of judges will select potential finalists for auditions.

Regional auditions are holding in Abuja, Enugu and Lagos. The competition will run until June 2020, and the winner will be awarded a gifted apartment, fully furnished and fitted with studio equipment, a car and prize money.
