Nigerian singer Yemi Alade has said that if netizens keep comparing themselves with others on social media, they will always be sad.

In a post on her Instagram story, Yemi Alade said that beautiful pictures are bound to make netizens feel less of themselves if they are not careful.

According to the ‘Johnny’ crooner, if netizens keep comparing themselves with others instead of looking at how far they've come, they will always feel sad.

“The fear of Instagram is the beginning of wisdom. You sit at home, on your Instagram then you start seeing beautiful people in beautiful places, taking pictures in jacuzzi etc,” Yemi Alade said.

“Let me tell you something, if you continue to look at other places instead of looking into your life and see how far you've come, you will always be sad.

"You will wake up in the morning and just say I choose sadness. Be warned.”
