Nigerian gospel singer Adeyinka Alaseyori has finally reacted after her song was criticized by veteran gospel singer Tope Alabi.

Tope Alabi criticized the popular Christian song ‘Oniduro Mi E Seun o’ a song by Adeyinka in a program where she went for a ministration that went viral.

According to her, it wasn’t appropriate to describe God as Oniduro which means 'guarantor', because he’s more than a guarantor.

Reacting to critics who have slammed Tope Alabi over her comments, Alaseyori said: "Let Jesus take the wheel, Mummy Tope Alabi is our mother. She is a mother to me and others by virtue of how blessed we have been by her ministry."

Tope Alabi’s statement went viral and was not well received by people who dragged her to filth. Alabi claims she loves the song and that when she wanted to sing it, the Holy Spirit told her to shut up.

Alabi had said, "If it is the Holy Spirit that gave you the song, chew it, swallow, and digest it before bringing it out to life."

Speaking further on the issue, Alaseyori stated: "Let us worship and celebrate God and let Jesus be the center of it all. And also be the first time to comment on the issue.

Nigerian gospel artist Evangelist Toluwalase Adelegan says she is the owner of the song that God gave her the song in 2014 when she was passing through tribulations. She expressed her disappointment that Tope criticized the song.

She also said that Jesus Christ of Nazareth is her ‘Guarantor’.
