Yobe  Announces Resumption Dates For Secondary School Studen

The Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education in Yobe State has announced September 18 and 19 as the resumption dates for the 2022/2023 academic session for students in boarding and day secondary schools (respectively) across the state.

The information is contained in a circular signed by Bukar Modu, Director, Schools Management.

“RESUMPTION OF SCHOOLS FOR THE FIRST TERM 2022/2023 ACADEMIC SESSION IN YOBE STATE”, the circular urges all the stakeholders in Education, Parents and Guardians of students both public and private schools to take note of the development.

“In line with the 2022/2023 schools’ academic calendar, I am directed by the Commissioner, Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Dr. Muhammad Sani Idris to write and inform all the stakeholders in Education, Parents and Guardians that schools would resume for the First Term, 2022/2023 Academic Session for both public and private schools in the state as follows:

“Sunday, 18th September 2022: Resumption for All Boarding Schools across the State;

“Monday, 19th September 2022: Resumption for All Day Students Across the State”, the circular read.

The ministry further urged parents and guardians to allow their children and wards to return to school on the said dates, assuring its preparedness to welcome the students.

It also appealed to zonal coordinators to follow the scheduled dates.
