Yobe: Fulani Group Appreciates Inclusion In Governance

The Kulen Allah Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria (KACRAN) says including the Fulani herders in governance will go a long way in tackling some issues bedevilling them.

The group appreciated Yobe Governor, Mai Mala Buni’s developmental projects and inclusive governance during his first tenure in office.

The National President of the association, Khalil Bello made the commendation on Saturday in Damaturu.

“We the members of this association called this press conference to express our gratitude to Yobe state governor, Mai Mala Buni for the numerous projects successfully executed in his first tenure.”

Some of the achievements, according to Bello, include involving the Fulani group in the assessment of security issues and the preferring of solutions to them.

He said that the issue of cattle rustling, herder/farmer clashes among others became a thing of the past in the state.

“Which is why many herders troop into the state to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and enabling environment,” he said.

Khalil added that pastoralists were also included in the implementation of agricultural policies in the state.

He also said that the Yobe in collaboration with the federal government is currently implementing livestock development projects in some parts of the state.

Therefore, he called on the people of the state, especially the Fulani group, to continue supporting Buni’s administration in its second tenure.

“We want to assure our total support and commitment to Governor Buni to continue with the people’s oriented policies he has started.
