Yobe University Gets Accreditation For Five More Programs

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has fully approved the accreditation of five programs for Yobe State University.

The five programs include English Language, Law, Biology, Computer Science, and Statistics.

A statement signed by the University’s Deputy Registrar, Information, Uwani Z. Mamuda and issued to newsmen on Monday, said the result for the accreditation is contained in a letter signed by the Director of Accreditation, National Universities Commission, Dr. Maryam Sali.

Speaking to a team from the Information Unit of the University shortly after receiving the result from the NUC, the Vice-Chancellor of Yobe State University, Professor Mala M. Daura, expressed gratitude for the achievement.

According to the statement, this brings the total fully accredited undergraduate programs in the university to forty-one.

The NUC has the statutory mandate to accredit academic programs in all Nigerian universities.
