'You Achieved In 15 Years What Others Don't In 60' — Joke Silva Eulogizes Late Sister

Three years after Bisi Silva lost the battle to cancer, her elder sister and veteran actress, Joke Silva has taken to social media to remember her.

Sharing throwback photos of herself and Bisi, Joke Silva praised the late art curator for achieving in 15 years what others could not do in 60.

According to Joke, after Bisi was diagnosed with cancer, she worked like she was racing against time.

Joke Silva wrote, "Olabisi Obafunke Silva .@ccalagos is doing well. Many thanks to your industry children ...Oyinda @uptown_boho being one of them. She is now the Artistic Director and Executive Director CCA.

"Was speaking to Bunmi Oyinsan 2nights ago and we were awed by your incredible laser focus. You achieved in 15years what others don't in 60. Especially after the cancer diagnosis came it was like you were racing against the clock. Asiko your training school is back. Miss you girl. Keep curating with Baba God."

Olabisi, the Centre for Contemporary Art’s founder and artistic director, died in February 2019 (age 56) after a long fight with cancer.

The art curator launched CCA in 2007 and later established the Asiko International Art School in Lagos.
