Yung6ix has called out Davido for leaving him off his list of the first generation of Nigerian musicians to achieve international prominence.
Davido recently claimed that he and Wizkid were the first young Nigerian singers to achieve mainstream success.
He expressed his delight at the rise of "new cats" (stars) like Burna Boy, Rema, Fireboy, Mayorkun, and Asake in the music industry.
Yung6ix responded in a video message uploaded on social media, saying he, Olamide, and Wizkid rose to popularity before Davido.
“David, David. How many times have I called your name?
“You know I got nothing but love for you, my boy. But let’s get it straight. It was Wizkid, Olamide and Young6ix before it was you. We were the youngins of that time.
“You want to skip me from the legacy?”, he said.
