YouTube Music Introduces Revamped Playlist User Interface On Android Phones

YouTube Music Introduces Revamped Playlist User Interface

YouTube Music updated its playlist and album views for tablets back in June, and the former is now beginning to appear on Android phones.

The portrait user interface (UI) opens with a cover image that is considerably larger than it was previously, along with information about who made it (you, other users, YouTube Music, etc.) and when it was last updated.

The updated look debuted on large-screen Android devices, such as tablets and Chromebooks, and is unquestionably more contemporary.

It is noteworthy that it was initially just introduced for playlists before being extended to albums.

Since June, there have been at least two reports of the redesigned YouTube Music UI arriving on Android smartphones.

Again, playlists rather than albums will be used as the launch point.

Said art (the conscious use of skill and creative imagination especially in the production of aesthetic objects) also appears blurred in the background.

The name is displayed next, followed by controls for downloading, editing (details and order), shuffle or playback, sharing, and an overflow menu with options for deleting and playing the next item, among other things.

Following is a list of the tracks, with song counts and duration shown at the very bottom (on personal playlists only, not mixes).

In the bottom right corner of the screen, a shuffle FAB (floating action button) will emerge as you scroll down.

Landscape orientations use a two-column view on devices that support it.
