YSCHMA Launches Two-Day Internal Strategy Review Meeting In Yobe

The Yobe State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency (YSCHMA), has launched a two-day internal strategy review meeting on Wednesday. 

The meeting was aimed to strengthen the implementation of the YSCHMA schemes and enhance service utilization within the state.

Dr Babagana Tijjani, the Executive Secretary of YSCHMA, made this known in a statement on Wednesday.

Tijjani highlighted the objectives of the strategy review meeting. 

He emphasized the importance of providing an enabling environment to discuss the progress and challenges of implementing the Contributory Healthcare Scheme in the State. 

He added that the meeting would deepen the staff's knowledge of YSCHMA strategies in operating the scheme and discuss the agency's strategic direction. 

Tijjani further stated that the ongoing implementation of the 2023 Annual Operational Plan (AOP) will be reviewed during the meeting. 

He also explained that the meeting would focus on evaluating the progress of E-claims implementation and foster inclusive engagement with staff regarding the agency's 2023 implementation progress across all departments and programs.

"The objectives of the strategy review meeting include; to provide an enabling environment to discuss YSCHMA progress and challenges of Contributory Healthcare Scheme implementation in the state; to deepen the knowledge of the staff on YSCHMA strategies in the operation of the scheme; to discuss the agency’s strategic direction and review the ongoing 2023 AOP implementation.

"The 2-day meeting will feature a technical session with presentations from various departments to ensure the agency continues to remain; The efficient and effective path to the attainment of Universal Health Coverage (UHC) in Yobe State," he said.
