The Osun State Command of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has stated that it has put in place a robust security arrangement and crime prevention strategy to ensure a crime-free Christmas celebration in the state.
This was made known by the NSCDC Osun Commandant, Emmanuel Ocheja via a press release signed by Daniel Adigun, the Command Public Relations Officer in Osogbo on Tuesday.
The command disclosed that officers and men have already been placed on designated positions along major roads across the state adding that patrol teams and surveillance squads will cover places of worship, public places and recreation centres throughout the celebrations.
While suing for peace and demonstration of love and tolerance for fellow citizens irrespective of religious affiliations, the command noted that the period was one of love, peace and registration of goodwill towards mankind.
It charged members of the public to be security-conscious and make provision of useful information to relevant security agencies a priority
