Nigerian Lawmakers have asked President Muhammadu Buhari to immediately fire Security Chiefs following the Zabarmari massacre that led to the death of at least 43 rice farmers in Borno.
Moving the motion for the immediate removal of the Service Chiefs, Senator Kashim Shettima who referred to the recent killings in Borno, said the service chiefs had failed to secure the lives of Nigerians.

Calling on President Buhari to immediately replace the service chiefs with competent hands, the Senate during its Tuesday plenary also asked Buhari to restructure the country's security system.
Further expressing its displeasure over the attack on the Borno community by men of the Boko Haram insurgency, the Senate demanded that a panel be set up to probe allegations of corruption and financial mismanagement against top military officials.
Demanding that the president negotiates with neighbouring countries in other to strengthen its war against insurgency, the lawmakers also asked the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, NEMA and NEDC to provide relief materials to families of victims of Zabarmari massacre.
Also, the lawmakers requested that the welfare of soldiers who goes to battle be taken care of and that the government provide support for fallen soldiers.
They also suggested that the Federal government recruit more hands into the Nigerian military and police force.
