In a statement released to newsmen on Monday morning, the secretary to Zamfara State government, Kabiru Balarabe said Governor Bello Muhammad Matawalle has directed the suspension of the Emir, and that a committee is to investigate circumstances leading to the turbaning.

Ado Aleiro is a wanted bandit suspected of masterminding the kidnapping and killing of many villagers in Katsina.

In 2019, the government declared him wanted for the atrocities.

The committee consists of Yahaya Chado as Chairman, Barrister Musa Garba, Secretary, Yahaya Mohd Kanoma, Muhd Umar B Magaji, Lawal Abubakar Zannah, and Isa Muhd Moriki as members.

Ado Aleiro was on Saturday turbaned Sarkin Fulani Ƴandoto after inside sources told newsmen that the act is to appease the bandits from further attacking villagers in the emirate.
