Zamfara Governor Secures Release of Abducted Police Officer

The governor of Zamfara state, Bello Matawalle has secured the release of a police officer identified as DSP Usman Ali who was abducted by bandits in the state. 

This was disclosed in a statement by the Press Secretary to the governor, Jamilu Birnin-Magaji in Gusau. 

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the victim was delivered to the governor unhurt by the task force on security in the state.

Recall that DSP Ali was abducted on 12th August by bandits along the Gusau-Dansadau road in the state. 

The governor who received the officer at the government house expressed satisfaction with the measures put in place to end banditry in the state.

He further congratulated the officer who just regained freedom from his abductors.

Meanwhile on his part, the officer appreciated the governor and all those that had a hand in securing his release from the bandits.
