Zamfara Governor Swears In Six Permanent Secretaries, Others

The Governor of Zamfara State, Bello Matawalle has sworn in six newly appointed permanent secretaries in the state. 

The governor also swore-in four new Special Advisers and State Auditor General for Local Governments.

This was made known in a statement by his Press Secretary, Jamilu Iliyasu on Friday in Gusau. 

Others sworn in include: Chairmen and Permanent Commissioners of State House of Assembly Service Commission, and the Zamfara State Independent Electoral Commission (ZASIEC).

While addressing the new appointees, Governor Matawalle urged them to use their expertise and experience to ensure that government policies are effectively implemented. 

He further reminded the Permanent Secretaries of their role in the general administration of the respective Ministries Departments and Agencies (MDAs), they may find themselves.

He stressed that the success of the MDAs is tied upon them. 

As reported the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Matawalle urged the permanent secretaries to remain guided by the civil service rules. 

He warned that while his administration frowns totally against any form of compromise for the rule of law, no one would be spared if caught. 

He also called on the new Special Advisers to take their appointments as a form of trust from the state government and the people of Zamfara. 

The governor assured the people of the state of his administration’s commitment to creating an enabling environment to promote development.

Matawalle further called for prayers for the state in achieving peace while praying for the security agencies' success in the fight against insecurity.
