The National Directorate of Employment, NDE, launched its Environmental Beautification Training Scheme (EBTS) in Zamfara State, equipping 20 unemployed youths with valuable skills.

The State Coordinator, Hamza Hadiza Kolo revealed this while speaking during the flagging off on Tuesday.

"This training scheme under the Special Public Works department of the Directorate is designed to create decent jobs for unemployed school leavers and drop-outs.

"Through a three-month program starting April 22nd, 2024, beneficiaries will gain expertise in Plaster of Paris, POP, Hand Landscaping, Interlocking, and Horticulture Soft Landscaping also known as flowering.” the state coordinator added.

Kolo emphasized the program's national reach, adding, "This training will be carried out in all 36 states and the FCT. EBTS promotes environmental renewal in both urban and rural areas, offering skills and aesthetics, protection, sanitation, and ornamentation finishing,” she added.
