Zamfara: Matawalle Set To Implement N30,000 Minimum Wage

The Zamfara State Head of Civil Service, Kabiru Gayari has said the Governor, Bello Matawalle will soon implement the N30,000 minimum wage for workers in the state. 

Gayari made this known in Gusau during the 4th Quadrennial Delegates Conference of the Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria in the state. 

Gayari who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Office of the Head of Civil Service, Yusuf Bakura said the crisis between the state and labour unions will soon be an issue of the past. 

He further appealed to the union to remain calm as preparation for the approval has reached 70 percentage. 

According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the chairman of the Nigeria labour Congress (NLC), Sani Halliru called on workers to support the union in their struggle.

Halliru who was represented by the acting state Secretary, Abubakar Gusau urged workers to support the union ensure the N30,000 minimum wage is implemented.
