Zamfara Orders Contractors Back To Site Of Abandoned Project

The Zamfara State Government has ordered contractors handling various projects at the state university to mobilise back to site for the conclusion of their projects.

The State Deputy Governor, Senator Hassan Nasiha, gave the directive while hosting stakeholders from Talata Mafara Local Government area of the state for the Ramadan Iftar at his residence in Gusau on Thursday.

Nasiha said he was ordered by Governor Bello Matawalle to issue the directives to all contractors working in the state university to hasten the completion of all ongoing projects for teaching and learning activities to take off without further delay.

The Deputy Governor further identified the general renovation and reconstruction of Kagara General Hospital, the construction of 11 primary health care centres, provision of working facilities and manpower to manage the hospitals, and the State Government’s doggedness in addressing insecurity as some of the successes of the present administration in Talata Mafara Local Government area.

Earlier, speaking on behalf of the delegation, the Talata Mafara local government Sole Administrator, Dahiru Garbadu, thanked the Governor for giving Talata Mafara special consideration at all times.

Garbadu then urged the state government to construct drainages in some areas of Mafara town in order to safeguard them against flooding as the rainy season is fast approaching.
