Zamfara Police Rescues 3 Month Old Baby, Others From Bandits

The Zamfara State Police have rescued abducted persons including a three-month-old baby from bandits in the state.

Zamfara State Commissioner of Police, Ayuba Elkanah, disclosed on Wednesday in Gusau, that the victims were abducted from Ruggar Tudu Village in Bungudu Local Government Area.

According to Elkanah, the police operatives also apprehended three suppliers of hard drugs to the bandits and recovered some items of motorcycle, AK-47 rifles, rocket launcher and others.

He added that in the last four months, police operatives have recorded successes in fighting banditry and other crimes in the state.

"The police would work in collaboration with other security agencies to tighten the security in the state," he said.
