Zamfara Senator Empowers 1,500 Youths, Women

A senator in Zamfara North Zone, Senator Sahabi Ya’u has empowered 1,500 youths and women in vocational skills acquisition and entrepreneurship development.

Senator Ya’u speaking during the exercise of the empowerment materials and the commissioning of constituency projects in Kaura-Namoda town said that the beneficiaries were trained in various skills for them to become self-independent.

He said, “Through the training, we would create employment opportunities which will go a long way in adding value to the efforts of the Governor of our dear Zamfara State”.

During the empowerment program, the Senator distributed motorcycles, 45 cars, 150 tricycles, 50 sewing machines, vulcanizing machines,150 grinding machines, 180 Laptops, GMS repair tools as well as goats, sheep amongst others.

Governor Bello Matawalle saluted his efforts as he called on all politicians in the state to emulate Senator Ya,u's effort towards poverty eradication among the unemployed youths and women in the state.
