Zenith Bank Approves Payment Of N100 Billion Dividend

Zenith Bank Plc has declared an N100.47 billion dividend for its shareholders for the 2022 financial period.

The bank made this known in a statement after its 32nd annual general meeting which was held virtually from Lagos on Tuesday.

At the meeting, the shareholders of the bank unanimously approved the proposed final dividend payment of N2.90 per share.

This brought the total dividend for the 2022 financial year to N3.20 per share, with a total value of N100.47 billion.

Speaking, Jim Ovia, the Founder and Chairman of Zenith Bank, expressed his gratitude to the shareholders for their loyalty, commitment, and support, which had been instrumental in the bank’s outstanding performance.

Also commenting at the AGM, the President of the Association of the Rights of Nigerian Shareholders, Dr Faruk Umar, commended the board and management of Zenith Bank for consistently delivering value to shareholders, despite the challenging economic environment.
