Zidane In Line To Succeed Pochettino At PSG

Pochettino and Zidane

Paris Saint-Germain finally breakthrough in negotiation to sign former Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane to replace Mauricio Pochettino at the French capital club.

Although PSG regained their Ligue 1 dominance from Monaco but lost out to eventual winner Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League.

The Champions League has been the most coveted cup by the Saudia Arabia-led club -- something Zidane has claimed three consecutive times, making the retired French midfielder the best man for the job.

Zidane would have at his disposal the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi, Neymar Jr. (if he didn't leave), Mauro Icardi, Sergio Ramos, Marquinhos, and many more talents lying fallow at Parc des Princes.

His 3-time Champions League accolades would add to his CV.

Zidane has been out of club management since his second departure from Santiago Bernabeu in 2021 but a year's rest might be what he needs to study and evolve as a manager.

He would also be relishing the opportunity to be among few managers who ever coached Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo during their playing days
