A son of Zimbabwe's former President, Robert Mugabe, has been apprehended for allegedly damaging property including cars during a social gathering.
Robert Mugabe Junior, thought to be 31 years old, is accused of wrecking cars and other property.
On Monday, February 20, 2023, the police said he was arrested after a complaint from his friend, Sindiso Nkatazo, also 31.
Mugabe Junior, the former president's second child, has yet to remark on the matter.
According to the police, the destroyed item is worth $12,000 (£10,000).
ZimLive, a Zimbabwe news outlet, published a video of the accused walking to Harare Magistrates' Court with a suit and face mask, followed by a mob of people while others stood on the sides shooting photos of him on their phones.
Mugabe Snr. died at the age of 95 in 2019, two years after being forced to leave after 37 years in power.
He was succeeded by his former right-hand man, Emmerson Mnangagwa.
