Zulum Disappointed Over Poor Hospital Management, Assures Of Improvement

The Governor of Borno State, Babagana Umara Zulum, has expressed disappointment over poor hospital management in the state.

The governor made this known on Thursday when he paid an unscheduled visit to the Umaru Shehu Ultra Modern Hospital, in Maiduguri.

During the visit, the governor lamented over staff attitudes towards the patients.

He also received numerous complaints from the public, expressing deep disappointment, while assuring of improvement of the situation. 

In a direct address to the hospital's emergency unit, Governor Zulum warned that such behavior would not be tolerated under his administration.

Recognizing the importance of quality healthcare services, he urged the staff to demonstrate compassion and diligence in their duties.

To ensure transparency and accountability, the Governor instructed the Hospital Management Board to provide a comprehensive report on the situation within 24 hours. 

Zulum also stated that appropriate disciplinary actions will be taken against any staff found wanting in the discharge of their duties.
