Zulum, Ndume, Others Attend Third Day Prayer For Late Shuwa

The Governor of Borno State, Babagana Umara Zulum, Senator Ali Ndume, among other top government officials, attended the third-day prayer for the Late Former Secretary to the State Government, Usman Jidda Shuwa.

The prayer session took place on Tuesday morning at the State Government House in Maiduguri, the state's capital.

Speaking to Newsmen after the session, Zulum described the Late Shuwa as a hardworking and loyal public servant.

He added that the Late SSG had always put the interest of the people first. 

The governor praised the deceased for his dedication, commitment and selfless service to the people of Borno State during his tenure as SSG.

"His demise is a huge loss to Borno State and Nigeria in general," Zulum added. 

Governor Zulum further condoled the deceased's family and prayed for the repose of his soul. 

Thousands of mourners across the state and beyond attended the third-day prayer.

Other attendees included the Deputy Governor of Borno, Umar Usman Kadafur, His Royal Highness, the Shehu of Borno, Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai Al-Amin Elkanemi and Borno State Chief Judge. 

Also in attendance were Traditional rulers across the state, religious leaders, Members of the National and State Assembly, former members of the State Executive Council and many others.

Others who accompanied Zulum to the prayer session included Senators-elect, Barrister Kaka Shehu Lawan and Barrister Mohammed Tahir Manguno, Borno State APC Chairman, Ali Bukar Dalori, Permanent Secretaries, former aides to the governor.

Similarly, the governor also led his entourage to the Maiduguri metropolis, to attend another third-day prayer for Late Yarima, the elder brother to House of Representative member-elect, Engr. Bukar Talba.
