A startup that connects businesses with software experts in Africa, ZwartTech, has announced on Wednesday that it has inaugurated a cybersecurity arm to provide comprehensive digital protection for startups and governments.

The Founder of ZwartTech, Nelson Ajulo made the disclosure in a statement made available to newsmen on Wednesday in Lagos.

He said that the cybersecurity arm which had been tagged “Zwart Cyber’’ would offer safety, upkeep of prospective clients' enterprise networks, systems-connected devices, clouds, and databases.

According to Ajulo, Cybersecurity is now on the front burner in today’s digital world as more organisations are experiencing breaches and expending billions of dollars to protect their network.

He said that according to the latest forecast from Gartner Inc., worldwide spending on information security, risk management technology, and services was forecast to grow to about 150.4 billion dollars in 2021, representing 12.4 percent.

“Data breaches and third-party cyber risks have become prevalent, 300,000 thousand new pieces of malware are created every day.

“These are designed to steal data and include spyware, adware, Trojans, and viruses.

“Additionally, with many people working remotely, it further increases the risks of any organisation’s security apparatus being compromised.

“This is why we are inaugurating a cybersecurity arm to offer the best digital security for startups, businesses, and government at the most affordable price,’’ Ajulo said.

He said that the company was already running a pilot phase in the Netherlands and looking to inaugurate in Nigeria and other parts of Africa in early 2022.

Ajulo said they were getting good feedback so far, and expressed the hope that ZwartCyber would become the go-to cybersecurity firm soon.
