Oppo has gained has continued to gain more market share in Nigeria as it launched its Dual-view video phone in Nigeria over the weekend making the smartphone company retain its post over the past few months as the biggest smartphone brand in China after beating its biggest competitors Huawei and Vivo in January, according to data from Counterpoint Research.

The Reno5 comes with camera features of Dual-view video,  AI Mixed portrait and AI Highlight Video for brighter and clear videos in low light. In front is a 44MP camera with beauty effect while the quad-rear camera includes a 64MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2MP macro camera and a 2MP mono camera.

Equipped with ColorOS 11 which has features such as Gamer Mode for the uninterrupted and enhanced gaming experience, Flex Drop for resizing apps into floating windows and hand gesture support that allows users to control their device without touching it. The Reno has an audio jack, an in-in display fingerprint scanner and a microSD card slot.

Reno 5 is equipped with a 4310mAh battery with support for 5w VOOCFlash Charger. The company claims its 5 minutes charge will last for 3 hours of video playback and a full charge takes just 48 minutes and it comes with a Super Power Saving Mode and a Battery Guard that optimises charging when plugged in overnight. 

As for gaming, COD Mobile in the highest graphics settings didn’t encounter any issues and the gameplay was smooth. As far as I could see, the touch inputs were fast and accurate as the 180Hz touch sampling rate may have aided in my gaming experience.

The Reno5 comes with a price tag of NGN 169,000 on the Reno5 and it will be available for pre-order from March 21.
