Akanni Elijah is a professional football player for the Nigerian Professional Football League side, Mountain of Fire and Miracles Football Club where he plays in an attacking midfield position.

He started playing football at the tender age of 7. It was fun all through as a lad then. Immediately after my secondary school, He joined some grassroots teams like the All-Star Football club, Smart striker FC, Tribe of Judah to mention but few.

It continued like this till he joined MFMFC in the year 2015. I play there till date.

Elijah fashioned his game after the likes of Belgium Kevin De Bruyne, Iniesta, Xavi -- individuals who are skilled in attacking play deep in opposition final third.

He hates to complain on the field because it dampens the morale of fellow players and increases that of the opposition.

As much his position requires him high up the pitch he tracks back to cover spaces in case of a counter-attack.

Reasons he chose to play in an attacking position includes Jay-Jay Okocha and Ronaldinho. He watched them play during their careers but not that much, thanks to technology he was able to watch more of their videos

Educational Background

After his secondary school, obtaining his O'level certificate, Elijah decided to focus on his footballing career which he is doing presently but hope to further to a tertiary institution and study Business Administration.

He faced some challenges in the pursuit of his football dream -- which is basically funding, to buy kits, but with prayers and courage, he was able to overcome them all.

Akanni was not from a rich background but his parents were supportive with prayers and courage strengthening words.
