He is a real globetrotter. Despite his beginnings in Murcia and Tenerife, his first professional side was the Mallorca reserve team, later moving on to Osasuna reserves. After some notable performances for them, he went on to play for SD Huesca in the 2010/11 season, then returned to play for the Osasuna first team in the Spanish First Division.
With the relegation of the Reds, he signed for FC Porto in the 2014/15 season, and, in the summer of 2015, he went on loan to Granada CF, who he represented for all of the 2015/16 season, before joining Villarreal. Andrés is a goalkeeper of great stature and has good reflexes, and is excellent in one on one situations and very strong in the air.
