After arriving from Badalona at just 17 years of age, Gerard Moreno gained experience by playing for the Yellow Submarine’s youth teams, representing the Villarreal U19 A team and the Villarreal C and B teams. In the 2012/13 season, the striker from Catalonia was called up to play for the Villarreal CF first team, where he was one of the key players to help the Yellows get promoted back to the First Division. For the 2013/14 season, Moreno was loaned to Mallorca where he scored 12 goals.

The talented footballer came to the Villarreal CF Academy back in the summer of 2010, when he played for the U19 A team and scored 30 goals in his first season, making his debut that same year with the Villarreal B team in the Second Division A. He made his debut with the first team in the Second Division in 2012 and played his part to help the team get back to the top flight. In the 2014/15 season, he made the big step up by scoring 16 goals in all competitions.

After his time at Espanyol, where he scored 39 goals in three seasons, the forward returned to the Yellow Submarine to become one of the key parts of the team.

He is a left-footed, hardworking, quality striker who is strong in the air and has great finishing ability. He always has the goal in sight but also knows when to pass to his teammates for perfect combination play.
