Junior Firpo is a professional footballer that plays for the English Premier League side Leeds United as a wing-back and for Spain National Team.

Born in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic on 22 August 1996, Junior Firpo arrived in Malaga in Spain when he was 6 years old. There, he would play for several local clubs at the youth levels, such as Atlético Benamiel and Puerto Malagueño. In the summer of 2014, he joined Real Betis, playing for their youth teams before making his debut for the first team on 12 February 2018, in a 0-1 win over Deportivo La Coruña.

He would play almost every remaining league game that season and was similarly prolific during the 2018/19 campaign before signing for Barça in the summer of 2019. Although he was born in the Dominican Republic, he has played for Spain at the Under-21 level -including winning the 2019 European Championships.

His height, speed and precision make him one of the most promising left-backs in LaLiga. One of the young talents who stood out the most in 2018/19, he also causes problems for the opposition when attacking on the wing and in the box.

A tireless worker able to get back in position quickly, Junior Firpo is also adept at the possession of football and passing play that is fundamental to FC Barcelona's style.
